What others are saying about Trash Puppets...
"The crowd relished the opportunity to get involved. By the end of the show everyone was clapping in time together as one sketch ended and they waited for the next amazing puppet to appear or silly voice to delight them."
(Georgia Ensor, Event Manager, Global Recycling Week Event, Hobsons Bay Council)
“Trash puppets had our students and staff at Elwood Primary hooked from start to finish. There were strong messages about sustainability and how our students can take action, all delivered in a fun and engaging way. The performers had us all in fits of laughter. I would highly recommend Trash with a Porpoise for all schools looking for an innovative incursion!”"
(Diana Du, Elwood Primary School)
“The Trash Puppets team have done an amazing job of tailoring their workshops to communicate our litter/waterway messages. Their platypus puppet workshops always draw in dozens of children and are very engaging and fun. We look forward to hosting them again.”
(Matt de Boer, Yarra Ranges Council)
"I just wanted to let you know how much everyone enjoyed the incursion last week. The children are still talking about it! The staff on the day wanted me to let you know how great the presenters were. They had the children in the palms of their hands all day. Their explanations were clear and the team felt it was great how they went around and assisted the children as they did their own puppets.”
(Frederick Lopez, Knox Park Primary School)

“The Trash Puppets workshop was a terrific way to finish of our sustainability unit. The Trash Leaders were great in teaching puppetry skills and supporting the students to use their imaginations to create amazing puppets from ‘trash’. ”
(Dean Simpson, Principal, St Andrews Primary School)
“The students really enjoyed making their puppets on Tuesday. The sessions went really well and the students were really engaged. Amy and Amberley ran everything super smoothly.”
(Kate Rudland, Bellbrae Primary School)
“It was so FUN and I will remember not to throw out the recycle things in the trash now. I am really grateful for coming to watch your play, and getting to make my own trash puppet to take home.”
(Jacob, Aged 8)
“The Feedback on the roving performers was incredibly positive. The interactions with children young and old was perfect, really engaging and friendly. All the children loved the puppets and if young children got nervous about touching and saying hello to the puppets, the performers were experts at making the child feel at ease, playing games and talking to them and their carers/parents through the interaction. I work in Children’s Services and the interactions were amazing, so warm and welcoming. They were a major attraction of the event (most people had never seen anything like them before and were fascinated).”
